More than any President since Ronald Reagan, Donald Trump values and honors the military. Here he is at Annapolis, graduation day, 2018, giving the commencement address to the U.S. Naval Academy graduating class before a stadium of 30,000 people. He shook the hand of each of the more than 1000 graduates. He told the cadets that hundreds of new ships were their way and the days of depleted military funding were over.
President Trump's words:

Each of you will make your own mark on the Navy, the Marine Corps, the military, and the history of our great nation...There is no hill our Marines can’t take and there is no stronghold the SEALs can’t breach. At Arlington Cemetery, on Memorial Day, the President continued:
[Identifying members of his administration and of Congress]...thank you... members of the Armed Forces and veterans - thank you for joining us as we honor the brave warriors who gave their lives for ours, spending their last moments on this Earth in defense of this country and of its people.
Words cannot measure the depth of their devotion, the purity of their love, or the totality of their courage. We only hope that every day we can prove worthy not only of their sacrifice and service but of the sacrifice made by the families and loved ones they left behind. Special, special people.
I especially want to extend our gratitude to Secretary John Kelly ... He understands more than most ever could or ever will the wounds and burdens of war. Not only did Secretary proudly serve in the military for more than 40 years, enduring many hardships, but he and his incredible wife Karen have borne the single most difficult hardship of them all — the loss of their son, Robert, in service to our country. Robert died fighting the enemies of all civilizations in Afghanistan. To John, Karen, Heather, Kate, Andrea and the entire Kelly family, today 300 million American hearts are joined together with yours. We grieve with you. We honor you. And we pledge to you that we will always remember Robert and what he did for all of us. ...The Kelly family represents military families across the country who carry the burden of freedom on their shoulders. On June 6, 1944, more than 70,000 brave young Americans charged out of landing craft, jumped out of airplanes, and stormed into hell. They gave their hearts, their blood, and their very lives on those beaches to drive out the enemy and strike a lasting victory for our country and for freedom... In every generation there have been heroes like them, patriots who answer the call to serve, who do whatever it takes, wherever and whenever we need them to defend America. They put everything on the line for us. And when they come home, we must do everything that we can possibly do for them.
Four years ago, our entire nation was shocked and outraged by stories of the VA system plagued by neglect, abuse, fraud, and mistreatment of our veterans. And there was nothing they could do about it. ...Good people that worked there, they couldn’t take care of the bad people. Meaning, you’re fired; get the hell out of here.

It seemed like if they’re waiting on line for nine days and they can’t see a doctor, why aren’t they going outside to see a doctor and take care of themselves, and we pay the bill? It’s less expensive for us, it works out much better, and it’s immediate care. And that’s what we’re doing. ... we’re allowing our veterans to get access to the best medical care available, whether it’s at the VA or at a private provider. If the VA can’t meet the needs of a veteran in a timely manner, that veteran will have the right to go right outside to a private doctor. ...This legislation also expands access to the caregiver program for seriously injured veterans. Because no matter where you served or when you fought, ... if you wore that uniform, then you deserve our absolute best.
This bill speeds up the claims process, increases the health services, expands access to walk-in clinics, and fights opioid addiction.. ..and we will not rest until the job is fully done. He chose those words because they were Ronald Reagan's words. Trump is not another Reagan. No one is or could be. However, more than any president since President Reagan, President Trump has consistently reminded us of America’s heritage:

Since the 1960’s, the restraining hold of religion has weakened in our universities, in our media, and, to a frightening extent, in our culture itself. Too many people have rejected the ideas that there are a higher power for moral conduct, that there is much more to life than 'self-actualization.'
Commentator and author Kevin McCullough noted:

The Trump Economy, One Year In: A Success By All Measures
Economy: No question about it — one year into President Trump's first term, the economy is on a roll, creating wealth, income and jobs for Americans, and building opportunities for the young. It's a triumph of economic realism over foolish skepticism.
Critics so disliked Trump as he entered office last year that they were all but rooting for him to fail. ...
What has Trump accomplished when it comes to the economy? The numbers don't lie.
Stock market: The Dow Jones industrial average rose about 31% over the past year, "more than any other president since Franklin Roosevelt...Total stock market wealth added since Trump's first inauguration: $5.5 trillion.
Jobs: Over the last year, 2.2 million jobs were added to the economy, as the unemployment rate fell from 4.8% to 4.1% currently. Minorities experienced their lowest unemployment rates ever in December 2017, after a year of solid gains. Unemployment claims, meanwhile, are at a 45-year low.
GDP: President Trump entered office amid what appeared to be a dangerously slowing economy, with just 1.2% growth in the first quarter of 2017. But growth immediately picked up, rising to 3.1% in the second quarter, 3.2% in the third quarter, and, based on recent data, 3% or higher in the final quarter of 2017 — making the longest stretch of 3%-plus GDP growth since 2005.
Tax cuts: Trump's $1.5 trillion in tax cuts lowered the corporate marginal rate from 35% to 21%, and cut rates sharply for middle-class and lower-income Americans. The results are in: Less than three weeks after the tax bill became law, more than 164 companies — ranging from AT&T and Apple to Visa and Wal-Mart — have announced pay hikes and special bonuses for their workers. Apple stunned markets last week, announcing it would bring $245 billion back from overseas, hire about 20,000 new workers and hand out bonuses of around $2,500 for each of its employees due to tax cuts.
Confidence: Our IBD/TIPP Economic Optimism Index stands at 55.1, well above the 49.3 average over that measure's lifetime, signaling continued confidence in the strength of the economy. The optimism index is close to its all-time high and has now been positive - above 50 - for 16 months. Meanwhile, a separate IBD/TIPP index for financial stress is at its lowest since we began measuring it in 2007.
Regulation: Trump fulfilled his promise to cut more rules than he enacted. Indeed, he eliminated 22 regulations for every regulation he added, cutting some $8.1 billion in costs. More important, he pulled out of the ruinous Paris Climate Deal, which the NERA economic consulting group estimated would cost the U.S. some $3 trillion in compliance costs over the lifetime of the deal.
The point is, this last year has been a humdinger for President Trump. Coming in with the lowest of expectations, he has exceeded virtually all forecasts and the dire predictions of doom by his naysayers. Tax cuts and deregulation, the twin pillars of Trumponomics, have been a success by any measure.
ISRAEL
Other Presidents have talked and talked about moving the capital of Israel to Jerusalem. President Trump did it. His administration reversed Obama's treachery and renewed our support of our strongest ally, not simply in the Middle East, but in the world!
MORE ACCOMPLISHMENTS
TRUMP MAY BE THE ONLY MAN WHOSE STANDARD OF LIVING BECAME WORSE WHEN HE BECAME PRESIDENT.
McCullough pointed out a significant, unnoticed fact, which has nothing to do with the President's remarks but is an appropriate consideration supporting this topic: "ya gotta love this guy."
Unlike the vast majority of past presidents—and possibly all of them—Trump is the guy who on day one as President began living a life below the norms of what he had already achieved. His bedroom is smaller. His plane is worse. His schedule is more demanding. His time now belongs to the people—instead of himself. As a titan of industry he never needed to worry his head about the things he now must focus on around the clock. He has lost over $800,000,000 in personal net worth in his first sixteen months.
Nearly every President before him began to gain net worth, and nearly all of them left office far more wealthy than they entered it. This is especially true of Democrats Clinton and Obama.
President Trump had no need to wake up every day and to contemplate religious liberty issues, or pollution regulation, or abortion, or any number of other domestic issues. He surely had nothing in his life screaming out for him to help solve NATO’s funding scandal, how to defeat ISIS, whether to tear up the Iran deal, and how to take down “rocket man.”
So why take them on?
His popularity as a TV boss that “fired” people for performing badly on individual episodes is but a distant memory now that he’s had to fire, demote, excoriate, and purge members of government who were and possibly are committing crimes against “we the people."
And he’s had to do all of it against a backdrop of a steady, but evidence free meme of being accused of using foreign powers to help him win the election.
An election—as a non-politician—he nearly didn’t even run in.
What are his major themes? A safer America, a more prosperous America, a greater America.
Again many, maybe even fifty percent of the country may disagree with his methods, but how does one not agree with his aims?
A bit later the same day as my Fox hit, a twitter thread of mostly Never-Trumpers revisited the reasons why they were. As is my impulse too many times I asked some questions. But I was still amazed at how much vitriol there remains amongst a group who may have sixteen months ago had significant reservations about the man with no political record, but who to this day to a person they would be hard pressed to see a major initiative that he had not [more often than not] successfully answered with traditional conservative ideas. [Even their two-second objection to his tariffs has melted away as the Chinese and others have come to the negotiation table to even out imbalanced trade policies with the U.S.]
I myself had significant reservations about President Trump as a candidate. I disliked the level of street fight he would sink to - to win. I was then and am now offended at the revelations of the Access Hollywood bus. And I more or less believe that in his past life President Trump might not have been the moral example I want my sons to see.
However history is replete with men who find dignity, even nobility, in serving at a time and place when they have no reason to. It shapes them. It changes them.
To see a President who understood and could articulate the need for greater protections for people of faith, and to have faithfully moved the nation towards that goal, when he himself doesn’t appear to be a man of great outward displays or practice of faith is remarkable.
To see him surround himself with patriotic, even Godly, influences in some of his closest and most important advisory roles is to admit that he is serious in his endeavors and earnest in his desired outcomes.
CONCLUSION
The above sparks this reaction - this is incredible. President Trump has managed a revival of America's spirit that, less than two years ago, appeared impossible. Any fair-minded person would hail these achievements. But not the libs, who will continue to whine and complain and close their eyes to the good things happening all around them. and let us not forget one fact that alone warrants the title YA GOTTA LOVE THE GUY:

The United States and the freedom for which it stands, the freedom for which they died, must endure and prosper. Their lives remind us that freedom is not bought cheaply. It has a cost; it imposes a burden. And just as they whom we commemorate were willing to sacrifice, so too must we—in a less final, less heroic way -- be willing to give of ourselves.
