I did not believe Donald Trump would win the presidency. I urged him to step down in favor of Michael Pence [ARCHIVE Issue 7], not because of his programs or abilities. I applauded that he was the only one of the 17 GOP candidates who had the courage to take on the tough issues, particularly the immigration insanity, the propaganda of the biased mass media, and the repeated capitulation of the RINOs. He had sound judgment on the necessity of returning to constitutional government and the importance of selecting a justice committed to constitutional fidelity for the Scalia seat. He spoke out for pro-life; he presented the best tax reform program of the campaign. And he possessed a business experience superior to any other candidate. Bonnie and I had no doubt we would vote for him.
My problem was his record of crude comments. I believed the democrats, and their echo chamber, the mass media, would air those comments repeatedly to defeat him. And they tried to do just that. But the voters had enough of our long cold winter. November 9 I was wonderfully glad to write:
I WAS WRONG! I WAS WRONG!! THANK GOD ALMIGHTY, I WAS WRONG!!!
And the smiles began.

it is a collection of videos showing politicians, celebrities and news people stating that Trump would not be President. I can't complain about that since it was my belief as well. What is different is I was sad about it. These folks arrogantly chortle and smirk.
Knowing now how wrong they were, it is a delight to watch. My favorite was Bob Beckel whom I watched over the years denigrate anything and everything conservative in a tone of voice suggesting no other view was possible. He is at his overbearing best telling the rest of us his expert conclusion- Never Trump.

Please note the fallacious assumption. A man with a lifetime of business experience is judged inexperienced to deal with the business of government!

Professional politicians like to talk about the value of experience in government. Nuts! The only experience you gain in politics is how to be political... The one thing our Founding Fathers could not foresee- they were farmers, professional men, businessmen giving of their time and effort to an idea that became a country- was a nation governed by professional politicians who had an interest in getting reelected... And the voters recognized that, which is why we can now say:
God Bless President Trump - he has done more good in his first two weeks than his predecessor in 8 years, and some of that was undoing the harm inflicted by Obama.
Are some of his decisions flawed? No doubt; but nothing that cannot be modified. And he is making decisions. Yes, he has angered the Left/mass media. Colin Powell made the point, albeit vulgarly:

Do I wish President Trump would lose the impulsiveness to fire back at any perceived insult to his self image? Yes. In that regard, ironically he is similar to Obama, as National Review writer Rob Long pointed out in caustic but amusing fashion:
Neither one of these men can shut up. Neither one can imagine that there is anyone on the planet better at presiding than he. But Trump has one major advantage: he knows he's a shallow, narcissistic creep. He's said as much in his books and interviews. (despite the evidence) and exactly how great he was (despite the evidence), exactly how awful his successor is( despite... well, let's all take a deep breath here). After all, this is pretty much how President Obama governed for eight long years: in one continuous self-justifying blame-shifting monologue, interrupted here and there by violent agreement and deafening applause from the nation's journalists.

DEMOCRATS PROMISE COOPERATION AND SMOOTH TRANSITION
Yeah, right!
Democrats had to replace Harry Reid as their leader in the Senate. It appeared the Senator most likely to emulate Reid in insincerity and deviousness was Schumer. Sure enough, he was selected to team up with Pelosi as the face of the democrats. Now, if we can only get Debby Wasserman Schultz back to head the DNC, but Keith Ellison might be an equally irritating replacement.
Cooperation and smooth transition? Never happened from day one.
Senator Tom Cotton confronted Schumer about breaking a promise to confirm a nomination.
Schumer attempted to head him off by implying that Cotton was ignorant in not knowing that Obama faced the same delays eight years ago. Cotton had this blistering reply:
"Eight years ago, I was getting my ass shot at in Afghanistan,so don't talk to me about where I was 8 years ago."
Schumer's implication that delays in confirmations occurred in Obama's first term was, of course, a lie.
Obama was inaugurated on January 20...The very next day the Senate confirmed six of his Cabinet secretaries ....about a quarter of the GOP caucus was voting for even the most controversial nominees...

The good news? The democrats still don't get it. they continue to use their playbook which has failed them spectacularly . Since January 20, 2009. they have lost:
13 seats in the United States Senate
69 seats in the House of Representatives
12 governorships
and more than 900 state legislative seats

Obama has cost his party more seats than any other two-term modern president dating back to Dwight Eisenhower, [including JFK/LBJ and the Nixon/Ford duos.] The Washington Post reported that democrats lost 30 state legislature chambers.
SORE LOSERS - and WORSE
There is a phrase in the American lexicon about the kid who is not elected captain, so he Takes his bat and ball and goes home.
It has taken on a broader meaning: to cease participating in an activity that has turned to one's disadvantage, especially out of spite or in a way that prevents others from participating as well
Let's push the analogy one step further. Suppose the kid not only took his bat and ball but, on the way home, assaulted people, vandalized businesses, burned cars, threw rocks at the police, spat on veterans' families, and urged the killing of the kids remaining on the playground.
That is what the Left actually is doing. Sore losers have become terrorists.
After they lost the election, they staged, throughout our country horrific riots, assaults, burning of cars, and threats of assassination. Of course, the same thing happened when Obama won - NOT. Strange, is it not, conservatives do not riot, do not physically attack individuals and businesses, do not need to be excused from work, and do not require grief counselors when an election goes the other way? We were pushed by a man in a mask. Our clothes were drawn on with permanent marker by other protesters. And we were called the vilest names I have ever heard as we entered and exited the venue. What the individuals who assaulted us did not know is that I am the sister of Marine First Lt. Travis Manion, and Amy is the wife of Navy SEAL Lt. Brendan Looney, who gave their lives in Iraq and Afghanistan. Travis was killed in 2007, and Brendan in 2010.
The protesters became even more violent as the day went on.
…a rolling series of confrontations that injured six police officers and left store windows and ATMs smashed … the crowd, some of whom were armed with crowbars and hammers … three [police] head injuries caused by rocks and other projectiles….Police rushed protesters who had begun to hurl broken bricks, tossed newspaper racks and sidewalk trash containers into the street, setting them on fire… One heavily-damaged limousine was swarmed by protesters at one point and later set ablaze.
It hasn't stopped- more of the same at Berkeley last week.

They assaulted people, heaved Molotov cocktails, threw rocks at police, broke windows and vandalized businesses. A female Trump supporter was pepper-sprayed while giving an on-camera interview. Police treated six people for injuries from the riots. A firebomb ignited a generator-powered spotlight.
A democrat congresswoman deemed the sight "beautiful!" Val Demings applauded the violent protests.
We have seen demonstrations.... Young people at Berkeley protesting against this unconstitutional order,...We encourage our young people to get involved–I thought it was a beautiful sight...
as we encourage people to get involved, what directions and instructions and how can we have a more organized effort so that they can be a major tool in moving our agenda forward...[Emphasis added.]

The mass media began a campaign to blame the violence on the victim. He was the cause!
Yes, Milo Yiannopoulos, was "a vocal Donald Trump supporter", "a breitbart provocateur"
"a right wing provocateur ","an alt-right troll", "a conservative provocateur"
CNN dubbed the 'inflammatory' Yiannopoulos a 'professional provocateur.' …
Yvette Felarca, with the group 'By Any Means Necessary' : ...it was a militant protest. And everyone was there to shut him down. And so, whatever it was going to take to do that, we were all there with a united cause and we were stunningly successful....I think that the Left has been far too timid for way too long, [what happened in Berkeley] should be the model of how the movement needs to take things now in the future.” [Emphasis added.]
A few nights later, the mass media blamed riots at NYU on the speaker,
Gavin McInnes, who was pepper sprayed.
How can anyone read these outrages and not be FRIGHTENED? And the media are complicit. What is going on is the forcible suppression of viewpoints which the Left does not want heard. The targeted viewpoints are always conservative. Have you ever seen the mass media call out Left Wing trolls, or provocateurs or extremists? I have not.
What is also troubling is the number of these riots that take place in universities.

How intelligent are these students if they are oblivious to the contradictions between their words and their actions? While decrying hate, they act hatefully.

President Trump has been criticized for making the media an issue. He must do so. They are the source of information for many people. They are not reporters; they are propagandists.

When I started this post, I did so relatively lighthearted. When I did the research on the riots - the details of the violence, the glorification of it by the Left, the complicity in it by the mass media - I became genuinely frightened. This post ends far differently than how it started. I am scared for our country, for our President and for ourselves.
